Lauryn Hill, former Fugees singer, to headline Auckland's Eden festival

Former Fugees star Lauryn Hill is to headline a new reggae and R&B festival set to take place in Auckland this October.

The Eden festival is promised to be "New Zealand's first music festival to blend the hypnotic rhythms of Afrobeats, Amapiano, Reggae and R&B" and will be held at Mt Smart Stadium on Saturday, October 7.

Six60 will also be performing at the event and will play their album Gold in full, marking the first time the band has ever done so at a music festival.

The culturally-diverse line-up also features other global stars Davido, Giveon and more.

Hill will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of her seminal solo debut album The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and it will be her first performance in New Zealand since 2019.

Also included on the bill are Koffee, Katchafire, Sammy J and DJ Sir-Vere.

Tickets go on sale from Thursday, June 22.
