Lindsay Lohan welcomes son Luai with husband Bader Shammas

Mean Girls star Lindsay Lohan has given birth to a baby boy she and husband Bader Shammas have named Luai.

US website Page Six confirmed the news in a statement, saying: "The family is over the moon in love."

The Daily Mail reported the baby was born in Dubai where the couple live, and was believed to have arrived on Monday (local time).

Luai, the boy's name, means 'shield' or 'protector' in Arabic.

In 2021 Lohan shocked millions of Instagram followers by sharing pictures confirming she was engaged to financier Bader Shammas. 

"My love. My life. My family. My future," she wrote about her fiancé at the time

The couple tied the knot on April 3, 2022. 

In March this year, Lohan further surprised fans by revealing she was pregnant.

The actress posted a photo of a onesie with the words "coming soon" written on it.

"We are blessed and excited!," the caption read, along with emoticons of praying hands, a heart, baby face and a baby bottle.
