Some of the 1980s' biggest hitmakers are to play New Zealand's largest-ever Sounds Series event in Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch in 2024.

The Human League, Go West, Nik Kershaw, The Mockers and The Choirboys will head to Aotearoa for the one-day festivals, running from February 29 to March 3.

The Human League had hits with 'Don't You Want Me Baby', 'Human', and '(Keep Feeling) Fascination'; while fellow '80s pop singers Go West gained fame for gems like 'We Close Our Eyes', 'The King of Wishful Thinking', and 'Don't Look Down'.

New Zealand pop band The Mockers scored big hits with 'Forever Tuesday Morning', 'One Black Friday', and 'Swear It's True'.

The groups will play Auckland's Eventfinda Stadium on Thursday, February 29, before heading to Christchurch's Lincoln Domain for the gig on Saturday, March 2.

The tour will finish in Wellington at Upper Hutt's Brewtown on Sunday, March 3.

Tickets go on sale on Wednesday, July 5.
