The Chicks say New Zealand's wineries gave them some of the 'best days of their lives'

Country band The Chicks say they can't wait to perform in New Zealand again after their last tour here in 2017 gave them one of the best days of their lives.

Speaking on The Project, band member Emily Strayer spoke of her love for Aotearoa's wineries during their previous tour.

Describing the country as "paradise on Earth", Strayer said the whole experience was special.

"The shows are one thing, the crowds are great but we took a boat, a catamaran out to all the wineries - and that's the one thing that has stuck with me," she said.

"You all know how beautiful it is, but it might have been one of the best days of my life."

The group is here in October, playing Auckland and Christchurch.
