US indie band The National are to head back to New Zealand for their first shows in the country in six years.
The 'Fake Empire' group will play Auckland's Spark Arena on Saturday, February 24, and Wellington's TSB Arena on Sunday, February 25.
It will be the first time they've played in Aotearoa since their two sold-out shows at Auckland's Civic Theatre in 2020 had to be cancelled due to COVID-19,
The National headlined shows at Spark Arena 2014, Auckland City Limits 2017 and Villa Maria Winery 2018 but this will be the first time the group plays Wellington.
Since their last appearance, the group has released three more albums.
The show at the TSB Arena will be one of the opening shows in the Aotearoa New Zealand Festival Of The Arts.
Tickets go on sale Monday, October 2.
