Matthew Perry: Courteney Cox breaks silence on Matthew Perry's death

Just hours after Matt LeBlanc penned an emotional tribute to his co-star Matthew Perry, Friends actor Courteney Cox has broken her silence on his death.

Cox posted a video on her Instagram of their characters Monica and Chandler breaking character in a blooper from their first reveal of the relationship.

"I am so grateful for every moment I had with you Matty and I miss you every day.

"When you work with someone as closely as I did with Matthew, there are thousands of moments I wish I could share. For now here's one of my favorites," she said.

"To give a little backstory, Chandler and Monica were supposed to have a one night fling in London. But because of the audience's reaction, it became the beginning of their love story.

"In this scene, before we started rolling, he whispered a funny line for me to say. He often did things like that. He was funny and he was kind."

Earlier this month it was revealed Perry had asked writers to change a planned storyline between his and Cox's character, where he had cheated on her with a waitress following a row.

He reportedly went to the writers and said the audience would never forgive (Chandler) for cheating on Monica.

Perry died in an apparent drowning accident at his Los Angeles home at the end of October and the investigation continues into his cause of death, though law enforcement sources said there was no foul play suspected. He was 54.

On Wednesday, Matt LeBlanc, who played Joey in the show, shared a carousel of images of the pair working together on Friends, as well as a heartbreaking tribute to his "brother" and long-time co-star.

"Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye. The times we had together are honestly among the favorite times of my life," LeBlanc, 56, said in the message.
