TLC has cancelled their planned concert in Auckland in February to celebrate the 30th anniversary of hit album CrazySexyCool.

The group, which now consists of Tionne "T-Boz" Watkins and Rozonda "Chilli" Thomas, stated on Instagram it was with "heavy hearts" they were calling off the event.

The iconic American girl group was due to play at Auckland's Trusts Arena alongside guests En Vogue and Busta Rhymes on February 29.

"To our incredible Australian and New Zealand fans," they began.

"It is with heavy hearts that we announce the cancellation of our upcoming tour. We sincerely apologise for any disappointment to our fans. Your support means everything, and we promise to make it up to you. We can't wait to be back in your beautiful countries soon."

The group also said all tickets would be fully refunded.

However, some commenters on the post warned they were still waiting for refunds from a cancelled gig in Scotland over two years ago.

The band's last appearance at the Friday Jams live event at Western Springs in Auckland also had to be postponed in 2022 after a positive COVID-19 case amongst the group.

TLC has not played live in New Zealand since 2016.

CrazySexyCool was the group's second studio album reached number one in Aotearoa's album charts - it spent over six months in the charts after its debut.
