Taylor Swift Eras Tour: Extra Australia concert tickets on sale from AU$65.90

More tickets to Taylor Swift's The Eras Tour concert dates in Melbourne and Sydney are going on sale on Tuesday, just days before the Australian leg kicks off on February 16.

Restricted view tickets starting at AU$65.90 each are among those being released.

The new tickets will go on sale via Ticketek at 4pm NZ time (2pm AEDT) for the shows in Melbourne and 6pm NZ time (4pm AEDT) for the Sydney concerts.

While relatively affordable concert tickets may be available, Swifties in New Zealand will struggle to get cheap flights this close to the travel dates. A Webjet search on Tuesday showed the lowest cost one-way airfare from Auckland to Sydney for one of the concert dates is NZ$261 on February 26 with LATAM Airlines, while for Melbourne it's NZ$418 flying on the February 18 with Qantas.

Promoters said the additional tickets can only now be released as the show setup is underway. It comes one day after Swift's highly publicised appearance at the Super Bowl, where she watched boyfriend Travis Kelce's Kansas City Chiefs beat the San Francisco 49ers.

Swift is breaking a number of records with The Eras Tour. It's the highest grossing tour by any musician ever, and the first to surpass US$1 billion in revenue.

In Australia, Swift is set to hold the largest concert of her career to date at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), which has a capacity of 100,000. Her three concerts there will see her break the MCG's record for the most tickets sold by one artist at the venue, and she will also be the first artist ever to perform four concerts at Sydney's Accor Stadium.

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour Australia dates:

Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG)

  • February 16

  • February 18.

It is strongly advised tickets only be bought from Ticketek. Purchasing from anywhere else does not guarantee entry, with warnings issued about resale websites such as Viagogo.
