Award-winning comedian and filmmaker Tom Sainsbury has covered himself from head to toe in a green screen lycra bodysuit in an attempt to become an international hand model.
The bizarre audition video is part of a New Zealand-only search launched by a Japanese drink company. Kirin Hyoketsu is looking for Kiwis who reckon they have what it takes to be seen holding a can of their RTD.
The campaign is offering the winner Prezzy cards as a top prize to the value of 1 million Yen (NZ$11,000).
In Sainsbury's video audition, the comedian can be seen telling an unknown caller he's "pretty busy" before panning back to showing him ironing.
"I'll see what I can do," he says before the video cuts to him zipping himself up completely in a green lycra body suit as he warned: "You know you won't be able to see me, my body or my face with this on, right?"
The promotion wants would-be hand hopefuls to share their audition tapes on social media.
The unusual campaign is being run by Auckland based liquor manufacturer Lion with applications open until March 8 for those over 18 years old.
