Aussie rock legend Jimmy Barnes has announced a series of New Zealand concerts just months after he was forced to undergo open heart surgery.
The 67-year-old 'Working Class Man' singer will head to Christchurch, Wellington, New Plymouth and Auckland in July, just three months after he had to have a series of life-saving operations.
The Hell of a Time tour will celebrate the anniversary of his 1993 album Flesh and Wood.
Barnes will play New Plymouth's TSB Showplace on Wednesday, July 24 before heading to Auckland's Civic Theatre on Thursday, July 25.
From there, he will head to Christchurch for a date at the Isaac Theatre Royal on Saturday, July 27 before concluding his tour at Wellington's Opera House on Sunday, July 28.
In a statement, Barnes said he was "excited about getting back on stage, in front of the band and playing for my Kiwi mates".
Tickets go on sale on April 10.
