Britney Spears 'home and safe' after paramedics forced to rush to hotel where she was staying

A source close to singer Britney Spears tells CNN that the pop star is "home and safe" after she had a "major fight" with her boyfriend on Wednesday night at the Chateau Marmont in West Hollywood.

Paramedics were called to the hotel, but Spears left with her security team, according to the source.

Spears' representatives did not respond to CNN’s request for comment.

CNN has reached out to the Chateau Marmont and first responders for additional information.

TMZ reported paramedics had been called to the hotel after Spears had been involved in a fight with her boyfriend Paul Solis.

Witnesses told the US website she had been seen drinking with Solis until 11pm (local time) and had then they went to her room.

The outlet also claimed there had been reports from people at the hotel that at around 10.30pm someone matching Spear's description had been seen shouting and threatening employees and guests. However, police arrived at the hotel and saw no signs of a disturbance and left.

Two hours later, paramedics were called to the Hotel Chateau Marmont amid claims Spears had cut her leg following the fight.

Neither police nor paramedics have commented further.
