Award-winning Newshub journalist Lisette Reymer is to join Stuff for its upcoming 6pm TV news show.
Newshub is being axed along with most local productions in a massive restructure of Warner Bros. Discovery ANZ that will see hundreds of people lose their jobs.
Reymer is the latest to be hired by Stuff for its new, as-yet-unnamed programme which launches on Saturday, July 6, one day after Newshub Live at 6pm broadcasts its final ever bulletin.
She won last year's Best Reporter title at the Voyager Media Awards and Best Coverage of a News Event, and is familiar to viewers for her work covering Russia's war on Ukraine since February 2022.
Reymer is due to return to Aotearoa shortly after the launch of Stuff's programme. She will join other Newshub reporters moving to Stuff including Jenna Lynch, Juliet Speedy, Zane Small, Ollie Ritchie, Laura Tupou and Heather Keats.
Earlier in May it was announced Samantha Hayes will be Stuff's sole presenter.
On Tuesday, Stuff also announced reporter Lucy Thomson, visual journalist Simon Morrow, supervising producers Angus Gillies and Paul Mayow will join the company, along with Tom Bartlett as Chief of Staff - video and Monique Manson, who will work in social content.
"We've moved really quickly... we are exceptionally happy with the progress being made," said Stuff's managing director of digital, Nadia Tolich.
"We are determined to bring something fresh and familiar to Warner Bros. Discovery's loyal audiences when we launch in just a few weeks' time. That mix of experience, enthusiasm and a new approach to newsgathering is exciting."
