It's freezing. We're all cold. Christchurch hasn't seen the sun in two weeks. Winter sucks. These are all facts*.

So Wellington-based peanut butter makers Fix and Fogg have gone and created a peanut butter to warm the cockles of your heart.

We all of course know of their 'Smoke and Fire' peanut butter, which I use personally in a satay but is also BOMB with avocado on toast when avocados don't cost $10,000 (approx). Well now they've released a limited edition Smoke and Inferno peanut butter, for all the die-hard chilli fans out there.

Fix and Fogg say the new 'Smoke and Inferno' PB contains not one but three different chillies from Kaitaia Fire: organic cayenne, manuka smoked jalapeño and mulato peppers.

"This little joker still has a smoky start with a strong chilli finish - we're taking the fire to the next level. It's not so hot that you can't slather it on your toast but it definitely has more of a sting in the tail," they say.

With today being the winter solstice, Fix and Fogg says there was no better day to release the limited edition treat.

"We want to warm you up from the inside out on the shortest, coldest, darkest day of the year."

Smoke and Inferno will be available from this morning from selected retailers nationwide. Check out their online store, but be sure to get in quick as they've only made 1,000 jars.
