An anonymous bride-to-be is threatening to uninvite guests to her wedding after they allegedly ignored her wishes for money as a present.

A Reddit post details the Bridezilla's conundrum, in which she claims to be extremely annoyed because her friends and family turned up to her engagement party with "small gifts that serve no purpose".

"I specified on the invitation that we were requesting cash only in lieu of gifts," the bride exclaimed.

"We have a mountain of debt and would like to start our marriage with a fresh slate and figured this would be a great opportunity to do so.

"Well, the party was last night and not one person brought us cash," she wrote, adding that she struggled to "mask her irritation".

Reddit users themselves had mixed reviews about the bride's complaint, with a handful sympathetic of her plight.

"I feel her irritation is kind of justified," one person wrote.

"I hate having a lot of stuff and most people are bad at buying me gifts, so I tell people not to buy me gifts or to get me gift cards instead."

But others? Not so much.

"I hope she and the groom are happy together," one user wrote, "because they won't have any friends of family at this rate."
