Wedding planner describes Bridezilla's horrific reaction to sister's miscarriage

Many brides gain a reputation of being 'difficult' or 'selfish' in the lead-up to their weddings, but this might take the three-tiered cake.

Someone claiming to be a wedding planner has shared the story of the most disastrous wedding she has ever worked on, and it sounds almost too nasty to be true.

Writing anonymously on forum Not Always Right - where users post their "funny quotes and true stories" - the wedding planner told the horrific tale under the title 'Fall of Bridezilla'.

The problems, she claimed, began when the bride's sister fell pregnant after three years of trying.

The Bridezilla allegedly threw a fit at her sister's "poor timing", and the problems that it caused, including altering the dress to fit her sister's "inconvenient" baby bump.

"Well, then, I guess you can't be in my wedding, because I don't want to deal with the problems your pregnancy will cause," the woman apparently said.

The planner wrote she was "flabbergasted", but put on her best face and continued with plans.

A few months later, she wrote that the bride and her mother were with her, when the mother had to leave to take a phone call.

"She spends most of the meeting on the phone," the planner wrote. "Towards the end, [Bridezilla's mother] comes back, slowly putting her phone away. It looks as though she's been crying."

It was then, the planner wrote, that the bride's mother told them the horrible news.

"Your sister... She lost the baby."

The planner wrote that her heart broke for the family.

"There are not enough tissues in the world to mop up my sympathetic tears that are about to come to the surface," she said.

But it was the bride's reaction that was the real shock.

"Oh. Well, I guess she can be in my wedding, then, since she's not pregnant anymore," the bride allegedly said.

The wedding planner wrote that the mother's reaction was "absolutely terrifying".

"I have never seen something snap behind another person's eyes before," she said.

"I'm so sorry to have wasted your time, but it looks as though I won't be financing the wedding anymore," the mother told her in a "deadly calm" voice.

"It looks like my daughter will be taking over paying for everything. I hope this doesn't cause your business any trouble."

The planner said the bride was horrified by her words and began shrieking and panicking.

And it seems her cruelty further backfired; the planner goes on to reveal that "the wedding was cancelled entirely, 24 hours later, by the would-be groom".

The story has garnered over 300 comments, mostly from people congratulating the would-be groom for getting out when he did.

"I'm glad the groom-to-be saw the light before getting tied to that mess."

"You'd think he would have seen the light earlier. If his bride can treat her sister so selfishly, guess how she'll treat him after her lovey doveyness wears off?"
