Drones have caused quite a kerfuffle in recent months with London's Gatwick Airport closed for days before Christmas due to allegations of a rogue flyer, then, in January, the Auckland Police Eagle helicopter had a near-miss with a drone.
And just last month several flights out of Auckland Airport were delayed due to a drone sighting in the area.
You can see how it's easy to forget there are countless positive sides to these buzzy little machines.
