A bride in the UK brought forward her wedding so her much-loved, terminally ill dog could be there for the big day.

Estelle Harris and her fiancé Danny were due to tie the knot in May 2019, but when her Bull-mastiff dog Bruce was diagnosed with an aggressive blood cancer the couple moved the wedding forward to February.

Ms Harris told the Daily Mail Bruce was 'her son with four legs' and having him at her wedding day was important.

"It's hard to put into words how much I love him. I've got no children and he's the first dog that I've had since leaving home. My love for him is unbelievable.

"I've lost grandparents before, but knowing that I'm losing him hurts me more. I knew he had to be at our wedding, there was no question of it," she told the Daily Mail.

It cost over $1000 to rearrange the wedding, but Ms Harris said it was worth it, with Bruce turning up in his own car, wearing a tuxedo and with a horseshoe around his neck.
