Carl's Jr fans in Colorado, United States will have just one day to sink their teeth into a new burger bound to have high expectations.

The fast food chain announced a new addition to the menu for one of its Denver restaurants on Thursday - the 'Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight'.

According to a Twitter post, the burger will be infused with cannabidiol (CBD) and feature Santa Fe sauce.

But it's only available for one day only - April 20, known in the US as 4/20, which is World Weed Day.

Harvard Health Publishing says CBD is the second most prevalent of the active ingredients of cannabis, and is readily obtainable in most parts of the US.

Carl's Jr confirmed the burger could be purchased at its restaurant on Colorado Blvd on April 20. It'll come at a cost of $4.20, the Los Angeles Times reports.
