Annabelle White's Mother's Day breakfast tips

Whether your Mum prefers a traditional bacon and eggs on toast, or a light fruit and yogurt, you're sure to find something just right for her.

NZ Food Writer Annabelle White spoke to The AM Show.

Here's her two step Pikelets recipe:

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 1/2 cups flour (high grade)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar (sifted)
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda (sifted)
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup milk (full cream)

1. Mix together quickly

2. Add 1 tablespoon melted butter

(The secret is not mixing too much).
