Octopus attacks blogger as she tries to eat it on live stream

A Chinese blogger has come out worse off after attempting to eat a live octopus on her live stream.

In what could be seen as a desperate bid for popularity, the video blogger known as 'seaside girl Little Seven' on video platform Kuaishou, attempted to devour the eight-armed creature while it was still squirming with life.

In the video, the woman can be seen preparing to take a bite of the octopus before it suctions itself to her skin.

She firstly remains calm, telling viewers, "look how hard it's sucking", before the reality of her situation sets in and she screams in pain.

Eventually, as the octopus lets go, the blogger smiles and tells viewers: "I'll eat it in the next video".

It's then she realises she's been left with a small, bloody wound on her cheek, and cries "My face is disfigured!".

According to the Daily Mail, the mature giant Pacific octopus uses its 280 suckers on each tentacle to defend itself from potential attacks.

'Seaside girl Little Seven' lives in the city of Lianyungang and loves eating seafood, according to her Kuaishou account.

She has eaten a variety of cooked seafood including crayfish and lobsters in her shows, since starting her live-streaming channel about two weeks ago.
