Gaga was one of the first to hit the carpet with this Russian Doll-esque attire - she wore not one, not two, not three but FOUR outfits at the same time, shedding items as she walked to create whole new looks. Iconic.
Billy Porter
Actor Billy porter came as an Egyptian sun god, carried in my six shirtless men. Casual! Time magazine reports the outfit consisted of an embellished catsuit, 10 foot wings and a 24 karat gold headpiece. Honestly, same.
Janelle Monae
The singer and songwriter was not content showed up to the Gala with just her own beautiful face - she had to sport one on her dress as well. The 'Make Me Feel' songstress created a giant lipsticked face with her outfit, complete with multiple hats. The eyes were created by a painted purse and bra combo.
Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguz
What a bloody power couple. Although, actually scratch that, A-Rod is so outstaged by J-Lo here it's practically illegal. Her silver fringe beaded Versace dress featured a sky-high slit and plunging neckline, as well as, of course, a matching fringe headpiece.
Jared Leto
He carried a replica of his own head. Don't ask.
Dismal Fail: Katy Perry
Perry obviously misread the invite? She came as Lumiere from Beauty and the Beast. It's genuinely frustrating when celebrities are good looking, rich as hell, have great bodies and the ability to hire people to help them... and they still get it so wrong. Also, what are those shoes?
