Wedding horror after woman arrives at son's ceremony in strapless, fishtail, wedding gown

A woman has been slammed in a Facebook group after turning up to her son's wedding in a floor length white gown - almost identical to the bride's.

Posted to popular group 'That's it, I'm wedding shaming', the original poster captioned the pictures: "You guys... this is my husband's aunt at her son's wedding! Lady. TF are you doing?!"

With faces blanked out to keep anonymity, the mother of the groom could easily be mistaken for the bride as she poses in the strapless, fishtail gown, next to two blue-dress clad bridesmaids.

The real bride's dress (pictured) was remarkably similar.

The photos sparked outrage and numerous people were quick to comment on how wrong it was for the mother of the groom.

"How unhinged to you have to be to dress like the bride at your son's wedding?" one person questioned.

"Full on Lannister!" another joked.

In the now deleted post, a photo of the bride's dress prompted further outrage, as it reiterated just how similar the two dresses were.

"She wore the same silhouette as the bride too! Mess," wrote one person.

One person even admitted: "Yikes. I like it more than the bride's dress."

The poster didn't reveal the bride's reaction when she saw the dress, but we can imagine she wasn't thrilled.

It's not the only horror story to come out of the popular Facebook group. Last month photos from the group went viral, showing the bride giving the groom a lapdance to Ginuwine's 'Pony' during the reception.
