Dios mío! After much speculation, excitement and waiting, you only have had one more sleep until New Zealand's first Taco Bell restaurant will open its doors.

Based in The Brickworks dining alley at LynnMall, the new restaurant is set to open at 10am on Tuesday, November 12.

The Taco Bell team say they're expecting to see hundreds of excited Kiwi customers walk through the doors tomorrow. To celebrate, there will be limited edition t-shirts for the first 62 through the door, in honour of the year the original Taco Bell was founded (1962).

Clark Wilson, General Manager Taco Bell, says the team has planned an epic opening day to mark the occasion.

"Taco Bell is culture-centric, often defying the conventions of traditional fast food," he says.

"Around the world, it has attracted social media memes and casts of international celebrity mentions.

"Taco Bell is all about the social experience of food and we're excited for this spirit to live on in New Zealand."

The restaurant will have a self-serve music kiosk for customers to enjoy their own tunes while dining, free wifi and USB charging stations.

Customers can munch on tacos, burritos, chicken strips and signature favourites like the Crunchwrap Supreme (whatever that means). There will be a selection of beer and frozen margaritas for those wanting something a little stronger.

Go forth and fulfil your taco dreams, taco lovers.
