Man takes mistress to football match, gets caught cheating on kiss cam

A South American man has lived every adulterer's worst nightmare - getting caught canoodling with his mistress on the big screen of a sports match, and subsequently capturing the attention of the world.

CBS sports reporter Roger Gonazales shared the hilarious moment, in which the man and his girlfriend are kissing in the crowd.

After realising he's on the big screen - simulcast to television - the man hastily withdraws his arm from the woman and adopts a haunted expression.

But the damage was already done.

Gonazales's tweet has racked up over 30,000 likes and almost 80,00 shares from amused viewers.

"When you kiss your side chick and realize your marriage is over [because] you're on camera," Gonzales captioned the video.

"His new Facebook status = 'It's complicated'," commented one person.

"You can see his heart drop out through his ring piece," wrote another.

Even the Twitter account of rock band Nickelback weighed in. "Kinda feels like this caption nailed it #oops #ouch," they wrote.

However, many thought the video was fake, or perhaps played in reverse.

Luckily, Metro UK did some digging, and discovered the man in question is in fact Deyvi Andrade, from Ecuador, who was a spectator at football game between Barcelona SC and Delfin.

Since the video has gone viral, Andrade has taken to his social media pages to tell his side of the story - notably without much of an apology. His problem, it would seem, is falling victim to the lure of women.

"If it was a woman was in my place, what would you do?" he wrote, in messages translated into English by Metro.

"Various videos have been circulating of unfaithful women but they haven't been made fun of as much as me. I hope you never have to be in my position."

Andrade said he planned to defend his honour and "pride as a man until the end".

"We all fail and we all repent, thank you to those who have invited me to church and if I go it is so I can heal my family."

Andrade also accused Metro of "destroying his relationship".

"I hope this doesn’t serve you in any way because you are only hurting a son of God. You don't know the psychological damage you have caused with your hatred directed at me," he said.

"Everyone fails and we can forgive from our hearts. God give me strength!"
