Vegans play sounds of animals being killed at supermarket protest in Australia

Vegan protesters have attempted to intimidate Australian supermarket shoppers this week by standing in front of a meat chiller playing sounds of animals being killed.

In photos originally posted to Facebook, activist Cooper Ehlers is seen holding a sign in the meat section of a Perth Woolworths, "This is what they don't want you to hear," the sign said.

"Watch Dominion."

Dominion is an Australian animal rights documentary, which claims to expose the "dark underbelly" of animal agriculture.

The photos also show an unnamed person next to Ehlers with a sign that tells shoppers to "Stop the silence hear the violence".

According to Daily Mail Australia, disturbing sounds of animals screaming were also played by the protesters.

"Excellent work everyone," one person wrote about the protest in the Perth Vegans Facebook page.

It comes after a vegan protester intimidated supermarket shoppers on Christmas Eve by walking through Woolworths and Coles stores in Western Australia while holding the fake bloody head of a pig.
