This Valentine's Day, Dominos' is giving someone the chance to make a very 'dough-mantic' proposal (they came up with that, not me) with a diamond-encrusted pizza ring.
We're not joking. The ring is made of a diamond-encrusted band, holding a gold pizza base and topped with tiny ruby pepperoni circles. It's very cute, but I would highly advise you make sure your future wife or husband really, really likes pizza before proposing with it.
According to a Domino's' spokesperson, the ring is over 1 carat and his valued at $9200.
To be in to win the diamond slice, applicants from New Zealand and Australia should submit a 30-second video explaining how they would incorporate pizza into their proposal. Again, I simply must stress - please make sure your future betrothed LOVES pizza and isn't lactose intolerant. This is a very high-risk, high reward game.
Domino's spokesperson Allan Collins says the company will also cater the wedding.
"Pizza is made to be shared with the ones we love, so this year we want to honour that with something really special and help create the greatest, if not the cheesiest, proposal ever!"
Entries close on February 12.
