With New Zealand going through the COVID-19 alert level 4 lockdown there's been a resurgence of the home workout and it's probably been impossible to avoid on your social media feeds.

According to Google Trends, online searches for 'home workout' rose by a whopping 488 percent last month. Perhaps that expensive F45 membership was unnecessary and all we needed was a mat and banging playlist all along.

But if you're still running to the same songs that topped the charts in 2014, it's time to freshen things up - sometimes a new playlist is what it takes to get me lacing up my sneakers and running out the door.

The fitness experts at UK's Pure Gym analysed over 900 home workout playlists on Spotify to discover what the world is listening to to keep motivated at home during the lockdown.

The data revealed Dua Lipa's 'Don't Start Now' is the number one home workout song, and that even in 2020 Eminem is the most popular artist with his tracks appearing on a third of all home workout playlists.

The PureGym team put the 50 most popular workout songs into a playlist so you have plenty of music to help keep you motivated and energised when working out at home.
