With restaurants and cafes around the country needing our support more than ever post lockdown, there seems no better time to celebrate the heroes keeping us fed and watered.
Happily, the winners of the Menulog Restaurant Awards for 2020 have been crowned, including a People's Choice award.
This year that award went to Mr Pizza in Helensville, Auckland, with the owners taking away $2500 in advertising spend and an additional $1000 cash to help grow and support their business.
Other awards crowned included the best 'Drink'n'Dine Deal', the best 'Orange Dish' and the best 'Noods Sent'.
If you have a winner near you, we'd say its a pretty good excuse to get takeaways for dinner.
