Many parents have resorted to handing over their phone or tablet to their toddler to try and grab a few minutes of respite.

But absentmindedly handing her phone to her toddler after a shower led to a nightmare for US mother Emily Schmitt, who discovered her two-year-old used Snapchat to take naked photos of her while she used a towel drying her hair.

According to The Sun, her daughter Carsyn sent photos of Schmitt's bare bum to 15 people in her contacts list, including former university friends, a work acquaintance, former clients and co-workers.

Schmitt says she was "mortified" upon receiving a message from a colleague saying "thanks for the nude", and had to rush to send multiple apologies.

"I literally think I died for a minute then came back to life so I could tell people what happened," Schmitt said.

"My parents own the real estate brokerage that I work for.

"I walked in the next day and my dad, who's the broker, was like 'Oh look, here comes the company porn star'."

Luckily, she said, everyone saw the funny side, especially fellow parents who know the horrors of the terrible twos.

"It's so funny - this child of mine is wild. We just say she's feral - she cannot be tamed."
