A photo of a mother who hung her baby on the back of her barstool like a bag has sparked outrage after it reemerged on Reddit.
Originally posted two years ago, the image shows the woman sitting at a bar talking to her male companion, while the baby - which appears to be about three months old - dangles off the back of her chair in a baby carrier.
The photo is making people mad again after being posted on the 'Mildly Infuriating' sub-Reddit this week, with users blasting the mother for the "horrible" and "dangerous" act.
"I don't even do that with my purse," said one person.
"Mounted with the baby's face right into the gross bar chair too," pointed out another.
But others lept to the mother's defence, saying sometimes parents resort to extreme lengths to get a child to go to sleep.
"I think people saw this and thought it's a mum neglecting her baby so she can get wasted. I saw it as a mum trying to have some lunch while her baby is still sleeping," one person pointed out.
"Maybe there are better options. But sometimes you just make it work."
"I don't see the issue here as long as the baby is sleeping," added another.
"How do you know that it's her baby? Maybe the last customer left it there by mistake," another joked.
