We all love handy tips and tricks that save a bit of cash, but one couple is going viral as the wife shares videos online showing the many extreme ways her husband likes to save money.

Amber Horne, from the US state of Oregon, has been uploading videos to her TikTok @therealamberhorne and has attracted more than 740,000 followers thanks to her husband's frugal tips.

Horne starts out each video with the phrase "My Husband's so cheap" before he reveals his 'hacks' to cut down costs.

These include diluting milk to make it last longer but also reusing aluminium foil after wiping it down and flattening it before putting it back in the drawer.

Another video shows the hubby holding up a pair of tennis shoes and saying he buys his kids sneakers two sizes too big because he knows their feet will grow into them.

Recently, a video of the husband demonstrating how he reuses paper towels is being widely shared online.

"When you use a paper towel, all you need to do is hang them up on a clothes-line to dry, and they'll be ready to use again, saving you money," he explains.

In the clip, Mr Horne can be seen hanging used paper towels on a makeshift washing line that has been made using yarn because they are "too cheap to buy a clothesline".

While he has been labelled as "extreme" for the hacks, many viewers are praising his tips for being "practical" and "resourceful".

"Some might say cheap, but I think he's smart! He has come up with some good ways to save money. I'm a bit impressed," wrote one viewer.

"These are good tips. We're so unnecessarily wasteful," added another.
