A 31-year-old woman from Connecticut has just broken the Guinness World Record for having the world's large female mouth.
Samantha Ramsdell, a TikTok star, was convinced by her followers that her gigantic mouth was "scary big" and could be among the largest on the plane.
To verify that, Guinness World Records met with Ramsdell at a dentist's in South Norwalk, Connecticut. Using digital callipers, Dr Elk Cheung measured both the length and width of the woman's mouth "to determine its maximum stretch", an article from Guinness World Records says.
"After taking all measurements, adjudicator Spencer Cammarano averaged the data to confirm the final record-breaking total," the story says.
It turns out Ramsdell's mouth gape measures in at a huge 6.52cm, giving her the world's largest female mouth.
"Being 31 and being able to get a record for something that really I was so insecure about, something that I wanted to keep so small, it's great because now it's like one of the biggest, best things about me," Ramsdell is quoted as saying.
The article says Ramsdell was bullied for her large mouth, but it was a characteristic she eventually "learned to love and accept".
"If I had advice for anyone who had a large body part, or something really unique, and they wanted to go for the Guinness World Records title, I would say do it! Do it proud and make it your biggest asset. It's your superpower, it is thing that makes you special and different from everyone else walking around."
