Household hardware chain Bunnings has just released its own line of kids' party kits, an idea inspired by its customer-base throwing DIY-themed festivities and sharing their efforts online. For tiny tradies, creative kids with a good ol' do-it-yourself attitude or Bunnings biggest little fans, a Bunnings-themed birthday party might just hit the nail on the head.
The kits, which retail for $29, come with all the trappings for a Bunnings bash. Each pack contains DIY-themed plates, cups, napkins, party invites, bunting, party hats, place cards, a box-cum-cake-stand and cupcake wrappers for 10 children to enjoy - until it's time to down tools.
Queenstown mum Haley Kelly has been quick to sing the party pack's praises, saying her seven-year-old son Jed is very keen to embrace his builder's bum and throw a Bunnings-themed bash with his friends and family.
"Jed plans to host a surprise party for his granddad's 65th birthday. They're both fans of Bunnings and love doing DIY projects together," Kelly said.
"Jed often joins his granddad on trips to their local store where the Bunnings team all know them by name."
