Mother rescues pet goose from eagle while breastfeeding her baby in viral video

A video of a Canadian mother has gone viral after her impressive multitasking skills were caught on camera.

A home surveillance camera caught the hilarious moment Cait Oakley raced out to rescue her pet goose from a bald eagle in her partner's boxers, all while breastfeeding her four-month-old baby.

Frankie the goose was minding her own business when an eagle swooped in and dragged the goose down the driveway as it attempted to fly off with the pet. Oakley heard the hysterical squawking and entered "mama bear" mode.

While breastfeeding, she burst out of her home with her baby in her arms and ran at the eagle yelling at it to stop and it did, leaving Frankie unharmed.

She posted the video on TikTok and at the time of writing, the video has been viewed almost 12 million times.

"People are just loving Frankie so much and I'm just having so much fun with it it's hilarious," Oakley told television station Chek News. "I think it's just such a chaotic unusual thing to see, I mean it's definitely not something you see every day."

Oakley said before the week before the incident she has lost three chickens to what they believed were eagles preying on them and didn't want to lose any more animals.

Oakley said Frankie is like family and lives in a pen outside with her partner Gerald and has recently had babies of her own.

She told the outlet Frankie is always roaming around and following her family like a "little shadow".

"She's a special little goose."
