Despite New Zealanders increasingly adopting vegan or vegetarian diets in recent years, it appears Auckland is still primarily a city of carnivores, if the most popular dishes on UberEats are anything to go by.
New insights provided to Newshub have revealed the Super City's seven favourite dishes, based on the most popular meals ordered from UberEats' top restaurant partners - in other words, the restaurants most commonly ordered from on the app across Auckland.
As it turns out, all of the much-loved meals feature either red meat, poultry or fish, meaning a plant-based or vegetarian dish has yet to crack the top seven.
So if you're a little stuck on what to order for your next night-in bingeing Love Island, or want to guarantee a delicious meal sans cooking or clean-up, why not take recommendations from what other Aucklanders are ordering - time and time again.
