There are a few essential ingredients that make a Kiwi summer special.

Hot-sand beaches fringed with blooming Pohutukawa trees and picnic tables adorned with parcels of fish and chips, L&P and of course, Tip Top ice cream.

A lot of us will remember pleading with our parents for spare change, pedalling to the nearest dairy and investing in a scoop of the good stuff. It was the best (and most delicious) remedy to the sweltering summer heat.

Tip Top ice cream has been a staple in Kiwi culture for more than 80 years and their factory produces more than 55 million litres of ice cream annually.
