Look, I'm sure 99 percent of us have cried over something completely irrational before. One minor thing can sometimes be the straw that breaks the camel's back - like the time I dropped the lid of the milk bottle during a particularly turbulent episode and started wailing in despair.
So when an Australian actor shared footage of the hilarious moment his pregnant wife began hysterically crying after realising he hadn't bought the right bakeware, the highly relatable clip quickly went viral.
Neighbours star Matt Wilson, who portrayed Aaron Brennan for seven years on the long-running series, shared the footage to Instagram after his wife, Jess, became overwhelmed with grief that he had purchased a ceramic dish instead of a "bread tin" - meaning she couldn't bake banana bread as planned.
"Jess asked me to record her pregnant breakdowns. In today's episode, Jess is upset we don't own a bread tin," he captioned the video, which was shared on Monday.
In the clip, Jess can be seen crying and shielding her face with her hands as the couple sit in the car, with her tears eventually turning to reluctant laughter.
Wilson also struggled to contain his chuckles as he asked his wife what was wrong. Through her tears, she replied: "You didn't get a banana tin [sic]."
"Because you wanted to make banana bread?" Wilson prompted, as Jess shook her head in despair.
"Instead I got a really expensive ceramic dish and another slice thing," Wilson said through his laughter, showing his viewers the new - and incorrect - bakeware to illustrate.
"Would you say this is pregnancy hormones? You're halfway between a laugh and a cry [sic]."
The short clip, which has since been viewed almost 100,000 times, proved highly entertaining to viewers, many of whom also found Jess's meltdown extremely relatable.
"Holy shit I can relate! I've never been pregnant but these are the feels once a month, every month! Hormones are TOUGH sometimes!" one person declared.
"Emotional roller-coaster legends," a second joked, with a third adding: "Oh you poor thing Matty, this is only the beginning."
Others shared their own anecdotes, with one fondly recalling: "I remember Em bursting into tears when a dog stole her donut in the park... so tragic and yet SO funny #preghormonegold."
"I feel ya girl! I cried the other day because I wanted some juice," another laughed, with a third recounting: "I remember losing my cookies one day because the cat chose to have a nap in another room and not in the room I was in!
"You got this Jess, can't wait for the next instalment."
The couple announced they were expecting their second child earlier this month after they welcomed their son last year.
Severe mood swings during pregnancy are normal and expected due to the changes in hormone levels. Fatigue and sleep deprivation can also be a cause, as well as physical changes, anxiety, stress and morning sickness.
