A Californian woman is being praised on social media for her calm parenting style after falling pregnant with twins again - just four months after giving birth to her first set.

Erica Gutierrez Perez, now a mother of five girls, regularly posts videos to TikTok of her parenting journey and daily family life, featuring her five daughters Summer (five), Arya and Hazel (both one), and new arrivals Alana and Celeste (six months).

But it was a recent video explaining her reaction to realising she was pregnant with Alana and Celeste which made her viral.

"When I had twins, then four months later got pregnant with twins again [sic]," she captioned the clip.

Another caption reads, "When your daughter has the audacity to ask for a brother after you gave her four sisters within a year!"

Her followers seem astonished at how she can look after her kids, with many comments saying they're exhausted just watching her videos.

"You are strong AF, there's just no way I could do this. I'm never complaining about my two again lol," one person said.

"You're a superwoman. I barely keep up with one!" another wrote.

Celeste was discharged last November, while Alana stayed to undergo several surgeries.

Perez claimed doctors told her the majority of newborns don't survive those types of surgeries.

"And I'm not gonna [sic] lie, I'm so afraid to update (everyone) because I'm always scared.

"It has been the hardest two weeks, but holding you in my arms has been so fulfilling that words can't describe," Perez wrote on Instagram at the time.

Her five daughters are all at home now, happy and healthy, and Perez has been sure to keep up a steady stream of TikTok videos with her latest life updates.
