Jennifer Aniston reveals Adam Sandler and his wife Jackie send her flowers every Mother's Day

Jennifer Aniston and Adam Sandler are known for their on-screen chemistry, portraying each other's love interests in three films to date: but their bond is just as strong off-screen, according to Aniston.

The 54-year-old shared some insight into their decades-long friendship in a recent interview with the Wall Street Journal, appearing on the cover of the Fall Women's Fashion issue.

Speaking to the publication, the Friends alum revealed that Sandler, 56, and his wife, Jackie, have flowers delivered to her every Mother's Day: a supportive gesture that acknowledges Aniston's past infertility struggles and IVF attempts.

The Murder Mystery 2 star, who does not have children, has been plagued by pregnancy rumours over the years - an experience she spoke about candidly with Allure in November 2022. She told the publication she had been actively trying to get pregnant through IVF - in vitro fertilisation - amid the "years and years of speculation".

"It was a challenging road for me, the baby-making road," she said at the time. "All the years and years and years of speculation... it was really hard. I was going through IVF, drinking Chinese teas, you name it. I was throwing everything at it. I would've given anything if someone had said to me, 'Freeze your eggs. Do yourself a favour'. You just don't think about it. So here I am today. The ship has sailed.

"I actually feel a little relief now because there is no more, 'Can I? Maybe. Maybe. Maybe'. I don't have to think about that anymore," she went on, adding she has "zero regrets" about how her journey panned out.

Aniston also pushed back on the narrative that she didn't have children due to her career obligations, which was widely reported following her highly publicised divorce from Brad Pitt in 2005. She told the outlet: "God forbid a woman is successful and doesn't have a child. And the reason my husband [Pitt] left me, why we broke up and ended our marriage, was because I 'wouldn’t give him a kid'. It was absolute lies.

"I don't have anything to hide at this point."

During an interview with The Hollywood Reporter in 2021, Aniston also hit back at the "hurtful and nasty" speculation her personal life has been subjected to throughout her career, noting: "I used to take it all very personally - the pregnancy rumours and the whole, 'Oh, she chose career over kids' assumption. It's like, you have no clue what's going with me personally, medically… they don't know anything, and it was really hurtful and just nasty."

Following the interview with Allure last year, a source told People that Aniston is "really happy right now" and "at peace".

"Her dogs are her kids to her and why she's always had them. Her IVF journey was private and hers, and those close to her knew but never asked," the source said, adding: "But she's at peace and is very happy in her life. She's in a great place, and she knows that. Kids or no kids, it didn't change her."
