Baywatch icon Pamela Anderson has been widely applauded for attending Paris Fashion Week without makeup, with film icon Jamie Lee Curtis heralding the barefaced beauty in a sweet tribute on social media.

Anderson, 56, appeared at the Isabel Marant Spring/Summer 2024 show on Thursday (local time) seemingly without a lick of makeup and her hair in loose waves - a look that drew widespread praise as photos of the star were circulated online.

Among those to celebrate Anderson was Curtis, who took to Instagram on Sunday (local time) to hail her bold subversion of societal beauty standards as the beginning of "the natural beauty revolution".

"THE NATURAL BEAUTY REVOLUTION HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN! @pamelaanderson in the middle of fashion week with so many pressures and postures," Curtis, 64, captioned a photo of Anderson in the front row wearing a sleeveless yellow dress.

"This woman showed up and claimed her seat at the table with nothing on her face. I am so impressed and floored by this act of courage and rebellion," the Halloween star continued.

A fresh-faced Anderson continued to rock her natural features at both the Victoria Beckham and Vivienne Westwood shows later that week.

Curtis' tribute was quickly flooded with further praise for Anderson, with Cruel Intentions' Selma Blair hailing her "beautiful self-assuredness" while comedian and television host Chelsea Handler branded the look as "iconic".

"So gorgeous," Charmed actress Alyssa Milano weighed in, with Desperately Seeking Susan star Rosanna Arquette adding: "Brava Pamela."

While attending Pandora's New York Fashion Week event last month, Anderson told People she is planning on selling her career-spanning collection of clothing to "make room" for her "new life". When asked if that would include pieces like her iconic red Baywatch swimsuit, she responded: "All of it."

"I don't like to waste," she added. "Better to clear my mind, clear my closet. Make room for this new life. I can't wait to see others enjoy these pieces.

"There's no reason to hang on to it. These memories are made to share."

Anderson is mother to two sons, Brandon Thomas and Dylan Jagger, whom she shares with her former husband and Motley Crue rocker, Tommy Lee.
