Have you ever thought about stealing from a hotel room before? Have you actually stolen from a hotel room before? This is a safe space, you can say.
'What can you take from a hotel room' is a question so commonly Googled, several publications have even covered what is and isn't acceptable to pinch on your departure, from toiletries to towels to the terrycloth robes.
But in a Valentine's Day campaign designed for the sticky-fingered sojourners among us, QT Hotels and Resorts is offering a guest the chance to pocket almost the entire contents of one of its rooms.
The 'Get A Room' campaign is running through the month of February as a unique celebration of all things romance - it's what's on the inside that counts, after all.
If you're a self-confessed minibar bandit or pen pilferer, you could be adding to your collection of hotel mementos; but this is much more than just soap and shampoo. The giveaway will include the robes, the ironing board, the fridge, the safe - and even the bed.
The winner will also pocket Kevin Murphy amenities, a fresh set of towels, the Nespresso coffee machine and the Dyson Supersonic hairdryer.
"For the month of February, including Valentine's Day, we want our guests to experience not just an extraordinary stay, but have the chance to take home every decadent detail of their QT guest room," said Danelle Ayers, head of brand and marketing at QT Hotels and Resorts.
QT is known for its quirky campaigns; for Valentine's Day last year, the hotel partnered with No Ugly tonic to offer a 'Do Not Disturb' room package that celebrated the love of libido.
In April, QT Queenstown also partnered with champagne house G.H. Mumm to create a limited-edition Champagne Parlour offering in celebration of Mumm Grand Cordon Rosé.
The new promotion comes as more and more hotel brands hop on the partnership bandwagon to curate aesthetic, limited-time-only campaigns to generate interest and appeal to TikTok-savvy tastemakers. In October and November, SO/ Auckland teamed up with Superette to create a bespoke, limited-edition suite designed for the stylish traveller, highlighting the premium retailer's range of fashion and lifestyle products.
To enter the competition, guests must stay at a QT hotel in either New Zealand or Australia between February 1 and February 29, 2024, or purchase a QT Gift Card (minimum value of $100) between now and February 29. The booking confirmation or gift card order number then needs to be entered on the Get A Room! campaign page.
The winners - one from New Zealand and one from Australia - will be announced in early March.
