Extended warranties on electronic goods sold by Dick Smith will be honoured, despite the collapse of the company.
The Warranty Group underwriters have promised to pay out all valid claims, even if the product was purchased after Dick Smith went into receivership.
The guarantee covers more than 135,000 warranties in Australia and New Zealand, worth about $2 million.
