Alibaba: What it means for NZ traders

A new trade deal with Alibaba, the world's largest online marketplace, is set to give Kiwi exporters access to millions of new customers.

The deal with the Chinese website group was signed by Prime Minister John Key and Alibaba chairman Jack Ma in Beijing on Tuesday morning (NZ time).

New Zealand exporters will be able to use Alibaba's websites to sell a range of fresh produce as well as goods like wine and skincare.
