Whittaker's is launching two new flavours to add to their mini slab range of chocolates, including some in the shape of New Zealand's native wildlife.

Marketing manager Holly Whittaker says small chocolates are perfect for consumers.

"We always say that chocolate is a small indulgence and Mini Slabs are perfect for that purpose. Two new flavours give our chocolate lovers more choice," she says.

The Tweats Mini Slabs are made with popping candy, moulded in the shape of some of New Zealand's favourite native fauna: a kiwi, moa, morepork, tuatara, kakapo and penguin.

The Whittaker's Dark Orange Mini Slabs are made using 50 percent dark chocolate infused with a high quality Brazilian orange oil.

"We hope this will please the many chocolate lovers who've been asking us to bring back a dark orange flavour, and hope they enjoy our delicious new recipe."

The two new flavours will hit the shelves across the county from October 6.
