RadioLIVE has resumed broadcasting in quake-hit Kaikoura, and has expanded its service to all MediaWorks radio frequencies in the region.

Transmission was disrupted due to power loss after Monday's earthquake and required engineering work to get it back up and running.

Kaikoura will receive nationwide RadioLIVE network news programming, Newshub bulletins and regular Civil Defence and community updates supplied by the local council.

MediaWorks is currently the only news radio service operating on a local frequency for the Kaikoura region, broadcasting RadioLIVE's 24/7 news and talk service to Kaikoura and the surrounding area on LIVE’s existing 89.1FM frequency and on More FM’s 89.9FM and The Breeze's 97.1FM frequencies.
