Athletic apparel giant Nike has introduced a new product to its women's sportswear line-up in a push to better represent the requirements of different cultures and females.
The product, set to be released worldwide early next year, was teased in a brand new advertising campaign that is currently airing across the Middle East.
The Nike Pro Hijab is made from a lightweight mesh, with small holes designed to provide greater breathability.
The product has drawn quite a buzz already, and a statement from the company said its conception has been more than a year in the making.
"Its impetus can be traced much further back [than a year ago], to an on-going cultural shift that has seen more women than ever embracing sport," the company said.
The Pro Hijab marks the first time Nike, an American company, has made a product to meet the specific needs of Muslim athletes.
