KFC gets hot and spicy with romance novel for Mother's Day

KFC has dropped one of the hottest books of the year, with a saucy Mother's Day romance novel featuring the taut and toned body of Colonel Sanders.

The book, Tender Wings of Desire, tells the story of Lady Madeline Parker, who runs away from a loveless betrothal, and meets a "handsome sailor with a mysterious past".

The cover shows the Colonel picking up a gorgeous redhead in front of the ocean. As the sunset glistens on his bare muscular arms, the Colonel smiles at the audience, while the woman prepares to taste the secret herbs and spices.

The book's released has been timed perfectly, with the fast food giant experiencing a 40 percent spike in sales around Mother's Day.

Reviews of the book have been mixed, with several complaining of the lack of breast and thighs in a romance novel.

Others say it's "finger lickin' good".

Previous KFC promotions have included a KFC-scented candle.

An electronic copy of the book is available for free on Amazon.
