German fashion brand Adidas has released a brand new pair of shoes - but despite appearing much like its previous releases, the shoes are different to anything it's manufactured before.
The limited edition sneakers are inspired by the leather pants and lederhosen made famous in Bavaria, and are constructed with premium leather and other materials.

But it's an invisible layer on top of the shoe that has attracted worldwide attention - as it is topped with a 'DPBR coating' inserted just for the spillages brought about by the party atmosphere of Oktoberfest.
That coating, which Adidas formulated itself, stands for 'Durable Puke & Beer Repellent' - and it means any of the inevitable wayward splashes during Oktoberfest festivities can simply be laughed off.
The DPBR coating is believed to be a variation of Splash Proof, a solution that can be applied to surfaces to make them impenetrable to liquids.
