Google has been hit with a record NZ$7.3 billion fine over its use of Android by the European Union.
In a statement, the European Commission said the company had used its mobile operating system to illegally "cement its dominant position" in search.
Google responded in a statement saying it would appeal the ruling.
Officials say Google unfairly favoured its own services by forcing manufacturers to pre-install its Google Search and Chrome apps as a condition of licensing its app store.
Google now has 90 days to bring the conduct to an end or face penalty payments of up to 5 percent of the average daily worldwide turnover of Alphabet, Google's parent company.
