Lotto: Hamilton player wins $10.2 million with Powerball First Division

A lucky Hamilton Lotto player will be having a night to remember after winning $10.2 million with Powerball first division.

Saturday's winning ticket was purchased at Whitcoulls at The Base, Te Rapa.

The $10.2 million prize is made up of $10 million from Powerball and $250,000 from Lotto's first division.

It's the second time in less than a month that Powerball has been struck, after an Auckland player won $9.2 million in May.

Three other players from Auckland, Cambridge, and Waitara will also be celebrating, having won $250,000 each with first division. A Strike player from Auckland also took home $800,000.

Anyone who bought their tickets from the winning stores are encouraged to write their name on the back of the ticket and check it immediately at any Lotto outlet, online at mylotto.co.nz or through the Lotto NZ app.
